Building a Legacy of Sustainability and Strength
Where Vision Meets Community
Welcome to The Growth Spot, where a group of visionary African American men have come together to transform 37.5 acres of land in St. Johns, AZ into a beacon of Love, Equity, Growth, Ancestry, Cooperation, and Yield (L.E.G.A.C.Y.). Our LLC leverages this land to engage in sustainable cattle raising, crop cultivation, and enriching recreational activities, nurturing a community where environmental respect and personal growth coexist.
Our Journey
We aim to establish legacy by leveraging cattle ranching, crop cultivation and mentorship. Beyond agriculture, we offer a spectrum of recreational activities designed to reconnect us with the land. Follow us as we document our journey.

WE LIVE HERE!

Our Foundation
Rooted in the principles of our L.E.G.A.C.Y., The Growth Spot Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization, dedicates itself to mentorship and sustainable land development education. We actively engage young individuals and families through immersive, hands-on programs that highlight the intrinsic value of land and the importance of its careful stewardship. By empowering participants to appreciate and enhance the land sustainably, our aim is to inspire future generations to carry forward and enrich the values of sustainability and community solidarity, ensuring a lasting impact on both the environment and society.
Drone Recon
To gain a bird’s eye view of our progress and the beauty of the land, we conducted extensive drone reconnaissance. This footage allowed us to grasp the vastness of our property and all of the possibilities it holds. Take a look at the footage below:
LEGACY Camp Highlights
Step into the enriching experiences from this year's LEGACY Camp—a transformative three-day adventure from the vibrant energy of Phoenix to the serene landscapes of St Johns, Arizona. Held at Lyman Lake State Park, this retreat provided a robust platform for young men to immerse themselves in the great outdoors, forge lasting bonds, and develop essential life skills under the guidance of skilled mentors. From setting up camp and exploring nature through guided hikes to engaging in land development projects on The Growth Spot's own land, each activity was designed to instill a sense of responsibility, teamwork, and respect for the environment.
Highlights included learning archery, fishing, and participating in profound discussions about legacy and land stewardship by the bonfire. The camp concluded with sessions on breathwork and mindfulness, leaving each participant deeply connected to themselves and their community, ready to apply their newfound knowledge and experiences in their daily lives.
